Mohali, March 3
Krishma Rana made a brilliant 73-run contribution as Cricket With Nagesh Academy (CWNA), Zirakpur, recorded a 87-run victory over Champions Cricket Academy (CCA), Landran, to win the RP Singh Memorial Women Cricket Tournament.
Batting first, the Zirakpur team posted 252 runs at the loss of nine wickets in the allotted 45 overs. Krishma was supported by Taisha (39), Twinkle Rao (31), Yashika (18), Kashika (18) and Jyoti (17). Rakhi Dhir picked three wickets while conceding 43 runs for the bowling side, followed by Manu Rana (2/28), Jyoti (1/25) and Poorvi (1/47).
In reply, the CCA eves posted 165 runs at the loss of five wickets in the allotted overs. Manu Rana (42), Nikita Nain (39), Har Simranjit Kaur (33) and Navnoor Kaur (23) were the main scorers for the side. Ishana claimed two wickets and Eknoor Kaur picked one for the bowling side.
Krishma was adjudged the best batter and player of the final, while Shibi claimed the best bowler title. Navnoor bagged the best wicketkeeper award, while the award for the best all-rounder and best player was bagged by Aaradhana Bisht. Manu Rana was named the best fielder, and Aashta was adjudged the best upcoming player.
