Mohali, November 22

Representatives of 1,090 successful candidates for the posts of patwari met Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Channi recently and demanded that their joining letters be released soon.

In 2019, the Punjab Cabinet gave a green signal to fill 1,090 posts of patwari. The Subordinate Services Selection Board, Mohali, issued an advertisement for the posts of 1,152 patwaris and others. The written examination was held in two stages. Out of the candidates who passed the written test in the first stage, 10 times more candidates were selected for the second stage examination.

The second phase of test was conducted on September 5, 2021, and the result was announced on September 17. The candidates reached the Subordinate Services Selection Board, Mohali, on November 2 and met the secretary. On November 17, a meeting was held and a demand
