Pinjore cut off from Baddi, Doon areas

A temporary bridge on a seasonal rivulet was washed away due to flash floods caused by heavy rains, at Pinjore here today. Due to this, the connectivity between Pinjore and the Baddi and Doon areas has been cut off.

The bridge on the Surajpur-Sukhomajri bypass was constructed to give passage to the vehicles coming from the Baddi and Doon areas towards Pinjore and vice versa.

It is learnt that necessary parameters were not met during its construction, due to which it was washed away.

Advocate Vijay Bansal, former chairman of Shivalik Vikas Manch, said the temporary bridge had not been constructed properly and heavy vehicles were facing problems in reaching it.
