Shrawasti in sight of twin titles

Akshita Vashisht drubbed Annaya 6-1 to set up the title clash with Shrawasti Kundilya in the girls’ U-12 competition on the opening day of the Talent Hunt Tournament being organised by the Ideal Tennis Academy at Manav Mangal School, Sector 11, here today. 

Shrawasti registered a 6-3 win over Mehakpreet Kaur in the semifinals.

Shrawasti also moved into the U-14 final after she blanked Ekam Kaur Shergill 6-0.

Mehakpreet Kaur shed her disappointment with a 6-3 win over Akshita Vashisht in the girls’ U-14 semis.

Dhairya in semis

Meanwhile, Dhairya Chaudhary beat Manavjeet 6-4 to seal a spot in the boys’ U-12 semfinals.

Gopaljee downed Trishubh 6-3 and Daksh Khokhar edged out Kavin Grover 6-1. Yeishvarden registered a 6-3 win over Shivansh Mor in the quarterfinals. 

Yeishvarden and Daksh Khokhar also secured their berths in the boys’ U-14 semifinals. While Yeishvarden ousted Daksh Jakhar 6-1, Khokhar prevailed 6-5(3) over Samarpit Bhatia in the quarterfinals. 

Gurnavraj Singh moved into the last-four with a 6-3 win over Manav Malik.

The remaining semifinal matches and final will be played tomorrow.

Boys' U-12 quarters: Dhairya Chaudhary bt Manavjeet 6-4, Gopaljee bt Trishubh 6-3, Yeishvarden bt Shivansh Mor 6-3, Daksh Khokhar bt Kavin Grover 6-1

Boys’ U-14 quarters: Daksh Khokhar bt Samarpit Bhatia 6-5(3), Gurnavraj Singh bt Manav Malik 6-3, Yeishvarden bt Daksh Jakhar 6-1
