Three testing teams were stationed at government schools in the Dhakoli area to take Covid samples here today.

The camps were set up at the Dhakoli, Dhakola and Kishanpura government schools.

A total of 162 samples were taken at the Kishanpura government school of which 10 were found positive in the rapid antigen test. Nine positive cases were detected among the 75 samples taken at the Dhakoli government school. At Radha Soami Satsang near the Singhpura chowk, 100 samples were taken, of which all were found negative. At the Baltana dispensary, 40 samples were taken, all of which were found negative. ‘’There are multiple teams, which are conducting tests aggressively,’’ said a Health Department official.

The Dhakoli area, comprising Dhakoli, Peer Muchalla, Kishanpura and Gazipur, has a population of over one lakh. “There will be 100 per cent testing. Those testing negative will be vaccinated. Those testing positive will require isolation and will be recommended appropriate care and medical attention,” Mohali Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan had said on Tuesday.

A 24X7 control room has also set up at the Dera Bassi SDM office and people can dial 01762-528116 for assistance.
