Faridkot, December 7
A day after a 24-year-old man died due to drug overdose in Faridkot, AAP rebel leader Sukhpal Singh Khaira on Friday reached the town to express sympathy with the bereaved family.
Khaira alleged that the high decibel claims of the state government of controlling the drug menace were falling flat as one after another youth is falling prey to drugs.
He alleged drugs were ubiquitously available and being sold in every nook and corner of the state.
The Congress came to power, riding high on the issue of drug menace in the state but in the last about two years, not a single big fish in the drugs business has been caught, Khaira said.
Nabbing only petty drug peddlers can’t solve the drug problem in the state, he added.
