New Delhi, April 10
Citing official data from the Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLAD), the AAP today claimed that a total of Rs 11.48 crore remained unspent with the Delhi MPs, with the highest Rs 3.16 crore balance being with Manoj Tiwari, MP from North East Delhi.
The Arvind Kejriwal-led party claimed that the Delhi BJP chief, Tiwari, who served as MP from North East Delhi seat in the last five years, did not even once raise the question on full statehood for Delhi even as the BJP had promised it in 2014 elections.
Delhi’s seven MPs belonging to the BJP also failed to carry out any development work in the 11 villages adopted by them under the Modi government’s Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana, the Delhi’s ruling party claimed. — TNS
