Chandigarh: The police have arrested three persons with 713-kg ‘ganja’ in Palwal. The accused are Rajesh, Dinesh and Pratap. It is the second biggest seizure in Palwal district this year.



Chandigarh: The police have arrested three persons with 713-kg ‘ganja’ in Palwal. The accused are Rajesh, Dinesh and Pratap. It is the second biggest seizure in Palwal district this year. Last month, over 775-kg ‘ganja’ was seized. A CIA team received a tip-off and laid a naka near Likhi Chowk, Hasanpur. When the accused were asked to stop for checking, they sped away. After a chase, the police held the trio and recovered 36 bags of ‘ganja’ from a canter. A case under the NDPS Act has been registered. 

Assault victim dies, Sec 302 added to FIR 

Karnal: A 15-year-old boy, who was attacked by more than 25 youths two days ago, succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday. The deceased, Nikhil, was a resident of Sangohi village. DSP Rajiv Kumar said the boy had suffered serious injuries in the attack. A case under Section 307 was registered against the youths and now Section 302 IPC has been added. tns
