Kurukshetra MP Saini threatens to ‘fight back’

KURUKSHETRA: Raj Kumar Saini, Kurukshetra MP, has threatened to “fight back” against the Jat protesters if the government fails to bring normalcy in the state by Sunday.

Raj Kumar Saini, Kurukshetra MP, has threatened to “fight back” against the Jat protesters if the government fails to bring normalcy in the state by Sunday.

In a telephonic interview with The Tribune today, Saini said he would unite volunteers from 35 communities for a “direct action” against the protesters.

Saini said he was in Visakhapatnam and maintaining a close watch on the situation in the state.

“The state government should clear roads and rail tracks. Jats have created ruckus in the state for an illegal demand of reservation and it is completely unacceptable to us,” said Saini.

“When the state government is duty-bound to maintain law and order, why should one make an appeal to the mobsters? The OBC Brigade (formed by Saini to oppose Jat reservation demand) is ready to confront the Jats. There is no provision in the Constitution that gives share of reservation benefits of the OBC quota to the Jats. The rights of the socially marginilised section cannot be compromised for political gains,” said Saini.
