Faridabad: To expand international relations of the university in educational, technical and cultural domains, JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, has started an expert lecture series by inviting people of international repute to share their views on academic issues. As a part of the initiative, an expert lecture on the topic of ‘Self-Rejuvenating and Confidence-Building Session for 21st Century Professionals’ was conducted by Nupur Tewari, an internationally acclaimed healer and motivational speaker from the Heal Tokyo organisation here recently. She put students on the self-development path through sessions on stress management, self-realisation etc.

Orientation programme for staff 

Faridabad: The JC Bose University of Science and Technology, Faridabad, conducted a one-day orientation programme for newly recruited employees of the university. The university had recently recruited 32 non-teaching employees on the post of deputy registrar, assistant, lab assistant, junior stenographer and clerk. The objective of the programme was to welcome the new employees and introduce them to university facilities, administrative and academic systems, rules and regulations of the university. 

Poetry recitation competition 

Karnal: A state-level Hindi poetry recitation competition was organised at DAV PG College here in which teams from 30 colleges participated. Dr Ram Pal Saini, Principal of the college, was the chief guest. The team of Nav Jyoti of DAV College Ambala City secured the first position in poetry recitation while Bharti of Government Women College, Karnal, emerged at second place and Simran of IB College Panipat bagged the third position. In song competition, Divyam Sodhi of Guru Nanak Khalsa College secured the first position, Nikhil of Markanda National College Shahabad remained at second place and Nav Jyoti of Ambala City bagged the third position.

Online verification of documents 

Sonepat: Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology, Murthal, is launching a module to facilitate online verification of documents issued by the examination wing of the university. Presently, recruitment agencies — private or government — ask the concerned university or education board for the genuineness of the documents issued by them in manually by ordinary post. The universities also send the verification certificate to the recruitment agency by post and this complete process takes three weeks. Recently, DCRUST Murthal had asked the recruitment agencies to register on the portal of their examination wing www.dcrustedp.ac.in for the purpose of verification of any document issued by the examination wing of the university. Once the agency gets the approval of registration, it can upload the documents for verification. The result branch after verifying their genuineness will issue a certificate in online mode. The controller of examinations of the university has made it mandatory that officials must dispose of the cases within two working days.
