CM’s luncheon diplomacy to pacify Kangra MLAs

Shimla, June 11

Jai Ram Thakur, Himachal CM, today held a luncheon meeting with 10 Kangra legislators, who have opened a front against state organisational secretary Pawan Rana.

The MLAs owing allegiance to the CM tried to play down the matter but Jwalamukhi legislator Ramesh Dhawala expressed unhappiness at “the authority of party legislators being undermined” by Rana.

“I have made it clear that the MLAs must be taken into confidence and there should be no interference in their constituencies. He (Rana) is interfering in government and organisational matters,” he said. — TNS
