Shimla, March 6

Congress MLA Rajinder Rana on Wednesday resigned as working president of the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee.

He sent his resignation to Mallikarjun Kharge.

Rana was one of the six Congress MLAs who had cross-voted in the Rajya Sabha poll recently.

The six MLAs were subsequently disqualified from the state Assembly.

The Sujanpur MLA and the five others were reportedly unhappy with the functioning of the government.
