Stray bull injures 2, close call for four

Nurpur, March 4

Two persons were injured after a stray bull attacked them near the Railway Station at Nagrota Surian in Jawali sub division of Kangra district today. Four others had a narrow escape as they managed to run to safety.

K.C. Sharma (75), an ex-serviceman hailing from nearby Katholi village, was one of the injured. Panic spread in the market as people ran helter-skelter to escape the furious animal.

A team of local veterinary hospital and Wildlife Wing of the State Forest Division tranquilised the bull.

Residents lamented that stray animals had become a nuisance in the town. They said the local administration should act immediately.
