Colors ’20 concludes on a higher note

Jalandhar, January 18

Over 1,300 students from 27 schools across the region participated on the second and concluding day of cultural festival ‘Colors 2020’ at the CT Group of Institutions in Maqsudan.

Inter-school competitions were held on the second day of the event. Students took part in 17 competitive events,including group dance, rangoli, poster making, quiz, solo singing, mehndi and turban tying.

Apart from its own students, the campus was home to more than 1,300 students from various schools, including Government Senior Secondary School, Alampur Baka, Lala Jagat Narayan DAV Public School, Jalandhar, St Thomas School, LR Doaba School, Shri Parvati Jain, Swami Sant Das School, Dayan and Model School, Kartarpur.

Lala Jagat Narayan DAV Public School bagged the first prize in face painting and Swami Sant Das Public School stood second. Swami Sant Das Public School bagged the first prize in salad making whereas CT Public School stood second.

St Thomas School, Suranussi stood first in project display and DSSD Girls Senior Secondary School bagged the second position. Little Flower Model Senior Secondary School stood first in mehndi and Swami Sant Das Public School bagged the second position.

Dr Jasdeep Kaur Dhami, campus director said, “Like every year, we have received a wonderful response from various schools on the concluding day. Students participated with competitive spirit in various activities and won the honors.”

“COLORS aims at inspiring the youth to elevate aspirations, stay focused and achieve greater heights. The objective behind organizing the event was to bring out the dynamism of the youth of today by providing them a platform to perform. On the first day also, we have received wonderful participation from the colleges across the state,” she added.

Manbir Singh, Managing Director, CT Group said that this is a wonderful platform given to the young students to showcase their talent and we thank all the participants from colleges and schools for participating in this two-day cultural event.
