- Tell us something about your background. How did the thought of acting come in your mind?
I come from a Marwari family. I was born and brought up in Mumbai itself. So, after my graduation, I joined my dad’s business. But, destiny played a role and here I am. I always wanted to be an actor, but didn’t know how to go about it. I started going for auditions and got the first break.
- You have played the character of Arjuna in Paramavatar Shri Krishna. How was the experience?
As it was my first break, I was really excited to face the camera. With experience came confidence. I noted the feedback and improved my performance. Being a part of a good project was important.
- What is your role in the web series Becharey?
In Becharey, I am playing the main lead, Vicky, who is a struggling Bhojpuri actor. I have seen many Bhojpuri films, so picking up the lingo was easy.
- Web series are bold in nature - what is your take on that?
It is safe to say that there is some mind-blowing content on all OTT platforms. But I feel that there are a lot of abusive words in most of these shows. What’s worse is that most of these words are used at places where they are not even needed. So yes, I do feel that some kind of censorship should be there.
- What is your fitness mantra?
Fitness is a part of my life. Being fit is more important than having a great body.
- Any health tips for fans?
My quick tips for all the beginners out there will be - don’t get demotivated if you can’t lift heavyweights. Be slow, be steady. Consistency is the key; 70 per cent is diet and 30 percent is the workout. Drink lots of water. Believe in yourself and you will be unstoppable.
- What do you like to do in your free time?
I watch films and web series at home, and recently I started dance classes too.
- What is your focus now as an actor?
I guess it’s every actor’s dream to do a big banner movie. I also want to be part of films, but, currently, I am focusing more on the web series and television. I want to grow and evolve in my craft first, then step into films.
