A camp under the Mission Tandrust Punjab was organised at Katani Kalan, Katani Khurd, Chandran, Pangalian and Heera villages. The camp was held under the supervision of Dr JP Singh, Senior Medical Officer, Sahnewal.

Sarpanch Manjit Singh of Katani Kalan village inaugurated the camp. Visitors were given tips on how to observe their health at regular intervals. They were also informed regarding various types of cancer, it’s symptoms and precautions.

The SMO informed villagers against the use of habit-forming drugs which could lead to health issues. “Youth are getting hooked to drugs on the one pretext or the other and it has become a routine matter. It is through cooperation that we can curb this menace. Drug addicts should visit de-addiction center at Sahnewal to leave this deadly habit and start thinking about their family and country at large,” said Dr JP.

“Half of the ailments stay away if a person exercises cleanliness at home and in surroundings. In case of any problem, one should immediately consult a doctor rather than indulging in self-medication,” he said.
