50 mobile phones stolen from house

LUDHIANA: Fifty mobile phones were stolen from a house in the Kot Mangal Singh area on the night of Saturday.

Fifty mobile phones were stolen from a house in the Kot Mangal Singh area on the night of Saturday. The Division Number 6 police have registered a case.

The complainant, Jaspreet Singh, a resident of Kot Mangal Singh area, said he ran a mobile repair shop in the same area. He closed his shop around 9:30 pm on Saturday night. “There were 47 mobile phones in my shop. I packed all mobile phones in a bag. I closed the shop and took the bag home. I kept the bag containing mobile phones in my room. When I woke up next morning, I found the bag containing mobile phones missing,” said Jaspreet.

According to him, apart from the mobile phones kept in the bag, three mobile phones of members of his family were also missing.

Constable Santokh Singh, investigating officer, said the police had registered a case against unidentified persons on a complaint of Jaspreet under Section 457 and 380 of the IPC. — TNS
