Artificial limbs distribution camp

Chandigarh: A Viklang Sahayata Camp for free artificial limbs distribution, was organised by Bharat Vikas Parishad Charitable Trust Punjab, Ludhiana, on Wednesday. “There were 23 beneficiaries with 25 procedures, which received artificial limbs (calipers, upper limbs, above & below knee limbs, hearing aids & tri-cycles). The camp was sponsored by Shakti Raj Jain & family. Narinder Mittal, President, BVP Charitable Trust Punjab, preside over the function. He gave his blessings and good wishes for the beneficiaries who attended the camp. TNS

Ludhiana doctor gets award

Chandigarh: Dr Sarit Sharma, Professor of Community Medicine, DMCH, Ludhiana. was awarded Fellowship of Indian Association of Preventive & Social Medicine (FIAPSM) during the 48th Annual Conference of IAPSM conducted online at the PGIMER, Chandigarh, recently. Dr Sharma had been working in the areas of infection control, prevention of communicable & non-communicable diseases, maternal & child health etc. He was also awarded with a certificate of appreciation by Varinder Sharma, Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana, for his contributions during the pandemic.
