Jeep collides with truck, two injured

SAMRALA: Two persons were injured, when their jeep collided with a truck on the Samrala-Machhiwara road, near Balion, last night.

Two persons were injured, when their jeep collided with a truck on the Samrala-Machhiwara road, near Balion, last night. The injured were rushed to the Civil Hospital Samrala by villagers and were later referred to PGIMER, Chandigarh, in a serious condition.

As per information, Kulwant Singh of Baghour village and Kulwinder Singh of Sarwarpur village were returning towards Samrala in a jeep. When they reached near Balion village, a truck suddenly collided with the jeep coming from the opposite side resulting in serious injuries to both of them. After hearing the noise, villagers gathered on the spot and rushed the injured to the Civil Hospital.

SHO Samrala Sikander Singh said they were inquiring the cause of accident and would take action as per law after the statement of the injured.
