Amid allegations of alluring voters by providing transportation and last-moment canvassing, polling took place peacefully with no untoward incident reported.
Around 70 per cent of voters cast their vote on Sunday.
Commotion prevailed for brief periods at some booths in Amargarh, Raikot and Dakha segments as opposing parties levelled allegations against each other.
Activists of Kirti Kisan Union, led by district president Tarlochan Singh Jhordan, organised a booth at Jhordand village to persuade residents to reject all candidates contesting in the Raikot Assembly segment. —
