The Women of Will (WOW), organised an event on water conservation - Water Conservation and Water Pollution - here today. The event was hosted by Roopa Pahwa, a wellness, etiquette, image and style consultant.
Roopa Pahwa was keen on taking WOW for a social cause to spread awareness on the issue. This initiative was supported and carried forward by Rohini Sood and Ramandeep Kaur.
The theme was all aqua and each table had a message on water conservation.
Pahwa showed a map of India where scarcity of water was highlighted. Anvita Chatwal, a nutritionist from Diet Clinic, spoke about how healthy natural foods helped in weight reduction.
Rohit Bhateja, a well-known businessman, social activist and president for Chandigarh, International Human Rights and Anti-Crime Organisation (IHRACO), was the chief guest. Bhateja is working for the human rights protection. His main focus is on alleviating poverty and social injustice, and economic upliftment of the underprivileged.
