On the eve of voting for the Rajasthan Assembly tomorrow, most of the contenders in 199 constituencies made last-ditch efforts today to reach out to voters through personal contact. Both ruling BJP and Opposition Congress face stiff challenge from rebels and within.
While the mood was upbeat in the Congress camp, the BJP was a little guarded as it gathered feedback from poll workers.
While CM Raje and her main rival Manvendra Singh remained busy in door-to-door contact with voters in select areas of Jhalarapatan seat, Congress state chief Sachin Pilot and former CM Ashok Gehlot made last-ditch efforts to woo voters in their constituencies of Tonk and Saradarpur (Jodhpur), respectively, during the day. — OC
