3 Dera Sacha Sauda followers booked in Faridkot

Faridkot: The police have registered a criminal case against three Dera Sacha Sauda followers in Faridkot. Harish Dhuri, Pardeep Kaler and Sandeep Bareta, all central committee members of the dera, have been booked under Section 174A on the directions of the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMIC), for not appearing before the court in three sacrilege cases of 2015. tns

DSP ‘thrashes’ man, probe on

Fatehgarh Sahib: A delegation led by secretary of Maulana Mohammad Usman Rehmani Shahi Imam, Ludhiana, on Thursday submitted a complaint to the police alleging DSP Manjeet Singh thrashed hotel owner Mohammad Salim and fractured the arm of his son Hassan. A probe is underway. OC
