Jalandhar ex-DCP Balkar Singh joins AAP

Jalandhar, June 15

Former Jalandhar DCP Balkar Singh joined the Aam Aadmi Party on Tuesday. The former cop joined the party in the presence of Punjab affairs co-incharge of AAP, Raghav Chadha.

Balkar Singh, who has been PPS officer, had served in the Punjab Police for nearly 32 years.

Since his recent retirement, he had been actively working in the reserved Kartarpur constituency, where from the party leadership is mulling to field him in the forthcoming Assembly polls.

The state will go to the polls in February or March in 2022.
