Abohar/Sriganganagar: A woman police officer has been arrested for allegedly taking Rs10,000 bribe from an accused in lieu of declaring an FIR false in a molestation case on Thursday. ASI Indira Devi Potalia (50) was caught red-handed. She will be produced in a court on Friday. OC

Newborn, mom die in hospital

Fatehgarh Sahib: A woman and her newborn died at Aman Hospital in Mandi Gobindgarh allegedly due to doctor’s negligence. Her family staged a protest outside the hospital. Apprehending the threat to her life, Dr Rajinder Kaur, who conducted the delivery, escaped. Sources say she was not qualified. TNS
