Cape Canaveral (US): Astronauts ventured out on their second spacewalk in less than a week on Sunday to instal powerful new solar panels outside the International Space Station. France’s Thomas Pesquet and NASA’s Shane Kimbrough picked up where they left earlier on Wednesday, when spacesuit and other problems prevented them from unrolling the first in a series of high-tech solar panels. colombo: The United Nations on Sunday said the Singapore-flagged cargo vessel, which caught fire off the coast of Colombo last month, has caused “significant damage to the planet by the release of hazardous substances”. It announced a team of experts to determine the full extent of the disaster and necessary follow-up action. PTI
