Cylinder blasts trigger panic in Mohali market

MOHALI: Panic gripped the Phase 3B2 market after three LPG cylinder blasts here tonight.

Mohali, December 3

Panic gripped the Phase 3B2 market after three LPG cylinder blasts here tonight. The blasts took place following a fire which broke out on the roof of a booth housing a cafe around 11 pm. Sources said LPG cylinders, along with a generator, were placed on the roof.

“There was leakage in one of the cylinders that caught fire due to a spark in the generator,” said the sources. The police and fire engines reached the spot and doused the flames. A fire official said they were able to control fire. — TNS
