After the big fat Punjabi wedding celebrations in Jalandhar, the festivities shifted to Amritsar as preparations were in full gear for the wedding reception of Kapil Sharma at Radisson Blu. The hotel had been put under surveillance with drones patrolling as VVIPs and many known names from Pollywood and Bollywood attended the reception tonight.

The theme of the decor for reception was black and gold. Amritsar-based wedding decorator Shikha Sareen did a European style stage with a glass floor. “A lot of flowers has been added in the decor, mostly red roses. Kapil likes scented candles so the stage and bar area were done up using aroma candles. The stage is quite high with a glass floor and furniture has been ordered from Delhi,” she informed. Flowers have been sourced from Thailand and Hong Kong specifically for the reception.

The bar, specifically, was the highlight at the reception with a glittering decor and lot of kitsch elements. The decor has been done under waterproof hanger keeping the cloudy weather in mind. The menu has been kept versatile with continental, Indian and Thai cuisine.
