Hepatitis B and C vaccines subsidised

AMRITSAR: The state government has decided to provide hepatitis B and C vaccinations at subsidised rates at government health institutions.

The state government has decided to provide hepatitis B and C vaccinations at subsidised rates at government health institutions.

Deputy Commissioner Ravi Bhagat said a vaccine of hepatitis B and C, which costs Rs 12,000 each, would be available at Rs 4,818.

The Deputy Commissioner said the government had subsidised the vaccine to make it affordable for maximum people.

In addition to the vaccine, medicines and tests for these ailments would also be free of cost, he added.

Bhagat informed that the vaccine was available at Jan Ashaudhi Centres.
