The city and its adjoining areas witnessed a short spell of rain this afternoon. The day began with sun shining bright but the sky was overcast by the afternoon.

Although, the rain had stopped by the evening, it led to decrease in humidity. Cloud cover remained even after the rain.

This short spell of rain brought smiles on the faces of farmers no matter they are expecting heavy showers for their crops.

As per data procured from the Indian Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature recorded before the rain was 37 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature was 29 degree Celsius.

As per the IMD, the city is unlikely to receive heavy rain tomorrow but on the following days, there is a possibility of thunderstorm accompanied by rain.
