Prof. Mohan Paul Singh Ishar, Vice-Chancellor of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda, senior officials, faculty and staff expressed grief over the sudden demise of Ar. Taranjit Singh, former lecturer in architecture department of the university.
A two minute silence was observed at the university to mourn the death of promising architect at the age of 32.
Taranjit Singh was instrumental in designing the insignia of the university. He had won a cash prize of Rs 50,000 for best design.
“His services can never be forgotten and it is a big loss to the university. We are all with his family in this hour of grief,” said Prof Ishar.
Extending his condolences, university school of architecture head Ar. Ripudaman Singh said Taranjit served the department of architecture with zeal and dedication.
He was an alumnus of the department of architecture, Giani Zail Singh Campus College of Engineering and Technology. Due to his dedication and commitment, he was a favourite of the students.
