The 254th edition of Baithak concert, organised by the Pracheen Kala Kendra at Koser Auditorium, was significant due to the participation of an eminent sitar player from Japan Yoshida Daikiti, percussionist Takuya Kuri Iida from Korea, Indian flautist Saubhagya Gandharv and renowned tabla maestro Arunangshu Chaudhury from Kolkata.

The quartet bared the melodic character of Raga Yaman through a reposeful alap, jod and jhalla besides slow-paced vilamabat and fast-paced drut. Their synchronisation was a treat to watch as they presented Indian ragas.

The highlight of the concert was a thrilling solo tabla performance by Arunangshu Chaudhury and melodious recital of Raga Pahadi by flautist Saubhagya Gandharv.

Expressing gratitude to the international artistes, the kendra secretary eulogised the supremacy of classical music. Chief guest Shobha Koser honoured the artistes.
