Aryan, Mayank sail into carrom semis

CHANDIGARH: Aryan S Dhaka defeated Aditya Gupta 3-17 14-8 20-6 to reach the semifinals of the boys’ singles category on the opening day of the 18th Raj Kumar Babuta Memorial Prize Money Carrom Ranking Tournament at St. Stephen’s School, Sector 45, here today. Mayank Gupta defeated Yash Gupta 18-1 11-4 10-9 and Chirag C beat Bhagyash 21-0 21-0.

Aryan S Dhaka defeated Aditya Gupta 3-17 14-8 20-6 to reach the semifinals of the boys’ singles category on the opening day of the 18th Raj Kumar Babuta Memorial Prize Money Carrom Ranking Tournament at St. Stephen’s School, Sector 45, here today. Mayank Gupta defeated Yash Gupta 18-1 11-4 10-9 and Chirag C beat Bhagyash 21-0 21-0.

In the quarterfinals of the girls’ sub-junior category, Ayesha defeated Akshada 21-0 21-0. 

Saniya defeated Muskan Singhal 1-5 7-6 13-7 and Vaidhavi Mamgain overpowered Gungun Kakkar 21-0 11-0. In the semifinals of the girls’ cadet singles category, Vaidhavi Mamgain defeated Riaana Virdi 15-0 21-0.

Maryam Khan defeated Gungun Kakkar 21-0 21-0 in the quarterfinals of the girls’ junior category. Nidhi Gupta also moved ahead after registering a 21-0 21-0 victory over Sangini Mamgain. 

Komal Gupta defeated Manroop Virdi 18-0 17-3. Arg Kandroo defeated Mansimran Singh 21-0 11-0 in the quarterfinals of the boys’ cadet singles category. Shahzar defeated Sahil 17-0 11-0, Mehul Chawla beat Archit Dhawan 6-0 1-0 and Harmannat Singh overpowered Reyansh Rana 15-0 15-0.
