Cousins from Patiala die in Ambala mishap

AMBALA:Two cousin brothers, in their early twenties and residents of Kapuri village, Patiala, were killed after their motorcycle collided head-on with a private college bus near Naraingarh in Ambala on Thursday morning.

Two cousin brothers, in their early twenties and residents of Kapuri village, Patiala, were killed after their motorcycle collided head-on with a private college bus near Naraingarh in Ambala on Thursday morning. The deceased have been identified as Gurdeep Singh, alias, Golu (22), and Gurmeet Singh, alias, Meeta (25). 

Their companion Gurpreet Singh told the police that he along with his friend Roop Chand and cousin brothers Gurdeep and Gurmeet were going on motorcycles to pay obeisance at Gurdwara Hemkund Sahib in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand.

“When we reached near Lotto octroi post in Naraingarh, a bus of private college from Kala Amb collided head-on with the bike on which Gurdeep and Gurmeet were riding at around 7.30 am,” he informed.

He said the duo were rushed to Civil Hospital, Naraingarh, where the doctors declared them brought dead.

The bus driver Kuldeep Singh of Sirmaur fled from the spot.
