Expect drizzle: Met Dept

CHANDIGARH: A drizzle is expected on Thursday, but according to the weatherman, it is unlikely to play spoilsport with Holi.

Chandigarh, March 18

A drizzle is expected on Thursday, but according to the weatherman, it is unlikely to play spoilsport with Holi.

The Met Department said rain was expected on Wednesday night. “The next morning, that is on Holi, a drizzle is expected. It won’t spoil the Holi celebrations, though cloudy weather will persist. The weather will become clear by afternoon,” said Met Director Surender Paul. The weatherman said one more western disturbance was expected by the month-end.

Already four western disturbances have been witnessed this month, which is a record of sorts for March. The cold weather conditions will stretch till the end of the month. — TNS
