The school celebrated Lohri with fervour. A special assembly was organised wherein teachers explained to the students the importance of the festival. Principal Ranjeet Bedi lit the bonfire. Students presented bhangra and gidda. Later, sweets were distributed among all.

Gurukul Global, Chandigarh

An interactive workshop on capacity building on life skills was organised at the school. Dr Rakesh Sachdeva was the resource person. Teachers thoroughly enjoyed the workshop as it focused on the importance of life skills. 

Shivalik Public, Chandigarh

The school celebrated Lohri with enthusiasm. Students presented speeches and songs. The principal applauded the students’ efforts. The school also celebrated the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh.

Shishu Niketan-43, Chandigarh

The Social Work Club students visited a leprosy home in Sector 47 and donated clothes, stationery items and eatables to the inmates there.

Shemrock Sr Sec, Mohali

A huge bonfire was lit to celebrate Lohri at the school. Students presented folk and traditional dances. They also danced on dhol beats. Groundnuts and ‘reveris’ were distributed among everyone.

Guru Nanak Foundation Public, Mohali

Lohri was celebrated at the school with fervour. Through speeches students highlighted the importance of the festival. Students presented traditional songs and dances. Principal Poonam Sharma lit the bonfire. Sweets, peanuts and popcorns were distributed among the students.

Sunfields International, Kurali

The Lohri function began at the school with speeches in English and Punjabi highlighting the importance of the festival. Students and teachers danced and sang folk songs laying emphasis on the rich culture of Punjab.
