CHANDIGARH: Two unknown persons have been booked for cheating Rs34,000 from a person at ISBT Sector 17.



Chandigarh, June 12

Two unknown persons have been booked for cheating Rs34,000 from a person at ISBT Sector 17.

According to the police, the complainant, Dhan Singh, a native of Uttrakhand, alleged that two unknown persons cheated money from him near outer gate, ISBT Sector 17, on June 10. The complainant works as a cook at a fast food joint in Sector 22.

“One of the persons claimed that he had stolen money from his owner’s shop and he wanted to exchange the money with the victim so that he does not get caught. The accused gave a bundle of paper wrapped in a cloth to the victim and took his money,’ said a police official. —TNS
