Man injured in car-tractor mishap

Panchkula, October 19 

Deepak Mehta, a resident of Dera Bassi, was seriously injured when his car hit a tractor-trailer on a flyover in Sector 20 here.  The impact of the accident was  so huge that the tractor-trailer overturned. He remained stuck in the car for about an hour. Some passersby smashed the front windowpane of the car and used rods to break open its doors. 

Tractor-trailer driver Jabir Singh, a resident of Dayalpur in Zirakpur, said he was returning after unloading paddy at a grain market. He escaped with minor injuries. — TNS
