Talent on display at PU’s fashion department

CHANDIGARH: The University Institute of Fashion Technology and Vocational Development (UIFT & VD), hosted Shears and Ruban, the annual design display event of the department in which the final year students showcase their artistic products, outfits and research projects.

The University Institute of Fashion Technology and Vocational Development (UIFT & VD), hosted Shears and Ruban, the annual design display event of the department in which the final year students showcase their artistic products, outfits and research projects.

Students presented a range of lifestyle and other products which were a perfect amalgamation of technical knowledge of their field and its creative application.

Seven design displays and nine research projects were presented to the jury members here on Thursday. Jury member Gupreet Boparai, Director, No Exit Clothing Pvt Ltd, adjudged

the products and Prof Divender Mehta, Dean Sciences, PU, evaluated the research projects.

Samreet Kaur, MSc (final semester), presented a digital document on campus fashion. The chief guest of the event was Prof Ramanjit Johal, Director, Research Promotion Cell, PU, and the guest of honour was Rajat Sandhir, Associate Director, Research Promotion Cell, PU.
