Workshop on RTI Act begins

CHANDIGARH: The Centre for Academic Leadership and Education Management (CALEM), Panjab University, is organising a two-day workshop on ‘RTI: Awareness, Issues and Challenges’, which began at the ICSSR Complex, Panjab University, on Thursday.

The Centre for Academic Leadership and Education Management (CALEM), Panjab University, is organising a two-day workshop on ‘RTI: Awareness, Issues and Challenges’, which began at the ICSSR Complex, Panjab University, on Thursday.

The programme was to benefit PIOs in educational institutions through interactive sessions with experts in the field.

Dr Jyoti Rattan, programme coordinator, inaugurated the session and quoted Kofi Annan “Knowledge is power. Information is liberating. Education is the premise of progress in every society.”

Shiv Raman Gaur, SIC, Haryana, enlightened the audience regarding appellate authorities under the RTI Act.
