DSGMC elections: Sirsa uses Badals’ pix in posters

NEW DELHI:Manjinder Singh Sirsa, general secretary of the DSGMC, who is candidate of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) from Punjabi Bagh against the heavyweight of SAD Delhi Paramjit Singh Sarna, has used the photos of Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal in his posters.

Manjinder Singh Sirsa, general secretary of the DSGMC, who is candidate of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) from Punjabi Bagh against the heavyweight of SAD Delhi Paramjit Singh Sarna, has used the photos of Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal in his posters.

When asked that DSGMC president Manjit Singh Badal and other candidates have avoided the photos of Badals, Sirsa said that it's individual decision of the contestants. “Badals are our leader and guide. I am using their names in election posters," he said.

He said, “I am also showing my work to the electorate. The DSGMC during the last four years has done historic jobs like functions of Baba Baghel Singh at Red Fort, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur in Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium and setting up his statue at Nabha House, memorial of 1984 anti-Sikh riots.

“We have also started a wing for cancer patients at Guru Harkrishan Hospital. It will take five years to complete the hospital as it is a major project. Guru Granth Sahib Study Centre is also under construction. Within two years, it will also be completed.”

Sirsa who has a huge election office, with a number of computers, xerox machine and a team of large number of supporters said that allegations levelled by the his rival Paramjit Singh Sarna will not harm him. People know the fact.

He has identified the number of voters in each block, the Jat and non-Jat electorate.

He has a number teams including women. The teams have been allocated the blocks.
