Ambala, April 28
A team of the electricity department conducted a raid at the residential quarters in the Police Lines here on Thursday night and discovered four cases of power theft.
An official of the power department said, “Four policemen, identified as Sandeep Kumar, Satish Kumar, Mahavir Singh and Gian Chand, were found stealing power. The amount of loss has been assessed at around Rs 2.50 lakh. The meters at their houses will be replaced and fine recovered from them.” —TNS
