Ludhiana, December 21

The Ludhiana unit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) under the Clean & Green Ludhiana Project, headed by Col CM Lakhanpal, today organised another awareness drive on Ferozepur Road.

Party volunteers participated in the drive carrying placards to raise awareness on various issues such as road and traffic safety, importance of protecting the environment and drug abuse.

AAP district convener Ahbaab Grewal said: “This drive is a part of our composite programme to raise awareness on the above said issues. This will be a continuous effort on our part to do our bit for society.”

Grewal said as part of this programme, AAP volunteers would carry on with such drives at various locations throughout the city. It would be our endeavour to reach out to as many people as possible.

“This is a small effort on our part. If we are able to make a difference to a few people’s lives, we will consider our efforts to be success, the AAP district convener said.

The placards were displaying slogans such as “don’t use pressure horns, “pollution-free Ludhiana top priority”, “park your vehicles properly” and “Save Rive Satluj”.

The volunteers who actively worked to make the drive a success are Dr Satpal Sharma, Darbara Singh Sidhu, Sultan Singh, Puneet Sahni, Ramit Saxena, RP Singh, Amanjeet Singh, etc.
