BJP takes on Cong over transfers

Shimla, August 11

A day after former Chief Minister PK Dhumal lambasted the government for “total collapse” of law and machinery in the state, BJP chief spokesperson Rajiv Bindal today accused the state government of being hand in gloves with the mafia.

He said honest officers were being transferred to pave way for the mafia and officers were feeling suffocated as seniority was being ignored and the cream of officers had either proceeded on leave or were awaiting the central deputation.

The transfer of ASP, Baddi, who had been acting tough against the mafia itself spoke volumes of government working in the state, he said, adding that the public was watching and would give a befitting reply to the Congress. — TNS
