BJP women wing protests rising dengue cases

DEHRADUN: The women wing of the BJP burnt an effigy of Health Minister SS Negi against rising dengue cases in the state.

The women wing of the BJP burnt an effigy of Health Minister SS Negi against rising dengue cases in the state.

The protesters said the government should take effective measures to curb dengue cases in the city.

The activists gathered outside the Mahanagar office and took out a protest rally and burnt an effigy of Health Minister SS Negi at Lansdowne Chowk.

They said dengue patients were not given proper medical treatment at government hospitals in the state.

The troubles for dengue patients have increased manifold due to unavailability of dengue kits at government hospitals in the state. They expressed concern over shortage of life-saving drugs at health centres and government hospitals. The protesters demanded that the Municipal Corporation should do fogging in dengue-affected areas of the city.

Kanchan Thakur, Kamli Bhatt, Sarita Gaur, Madhu Bhatt, Babita Sahotra and Vimla Gaur took part inthe protest.
