Ludhiana, July 3

A car caught fire at Jagraon Bridge here today. However, there was no casualty.

The incident took place at 5 pm when the bonnet of a Ford car caught fire. Short circuit is cited to be the reason behind the fire.

According to available information, a fire tender was rushed to the spot to douse the flames.

An eye-witness said, “Only the bonnet of the car was in flames,” adding that the panicked driver stopped the car and moved out immediately to save his life. The fire was brought under control in a few minutes, said the eye-witness.
