Chargesheet submitted in kidney racket case

DEHRADUN: The charge sheet against the 14 accused in the kidney racket case has been submitted at the CJM court.

The charge sheet against the 14 accused in the kidney racket case has been submitted at the CJM court. The kidney racket, which was being run on the premises of Dental Medical College, was unearthed on September 11.

The special investigation team probing the case took more than 90 days to prepare and submit the charge sheet at the CJM court. The police have arrested 14 accused in the case, including Amit Raut, the kingpin of the racket. His son, Akshay, is still absconding.

The 16-page charge sheet contains statements of 63 witnesses, including four donors of West Bengal and Gujarat.
