Jammu, September 26

Strongly flaying the BJP for allegedly surrendering the rights and claims of people of the Jammu region, Panthers' Party chairman Harsh Dev Singh today criticised the government for not announcing ex gratia for the Uri martyrs’ kin and neglect of the region in the matter of SPOs' recruitment.

In a statement issued here today, Harsh Dev Singh said the people of the Jammu region were seething with anger against the government for dis-respect to martyrs.

He said BJP leaders were making highly absurd and ludicrous statements to justify the denial of ex gratia to the martyrs, including two from the Jammu region.

He said the BJP’s justification that the Congress had also refused ex gratia for the Sunjwan martyrs was highly preposterous and outrageous.
