EC flying squad seizes 259 bicycles

SANGRUR: On a complaint, a team of the Election Commission’s flying squad today raided a house at Dehlan Sihan village near Lehragaga and seized 259 bicycles.

On a complaint, a team of the Election Commission’s flying squad today raided a house at Dehlan Sihan village near Lehragaga and seized 259 bicycles. The bicycles have been shifted to the Panchayat Ghar in the village.

Dr Abhinav, Deputy Commissioner, said Lehragaga SDM Bikramjit Singh Shergill had received an anonymous complaint that the bicycles had been stored in the house of one Jagtar Singh, following which the raid was conducted.

He said Jagtar had been issued a notice to produce the proof of ownership of the vehicles within 24 hours. — OC
