The Patiala police have registered a case of cheating against Gurmail Singh, a resident of Lane No. 1 in Dashmesh Nagar, for allegedly duping Yadvinder Singh, a local resident, by promising to send him abroad.
According to the FIR, registered at the Lahori gate police station, here, Gurmail Singh allegedly took Rs 50,000 from the victim to send him to Europe on a tourist visa.
However, he neither send him abroad nor returned his money, stated the FIR.
